Client - Nike Football
To celebrate Francesco Totti's 25 years as AS Roma's talismanic leader and the limited edition release of the new Tiempo Totti X Roma boots I was commissioned by Nike Football and Mundial Magazine to create a Renaissance inspired painting that heroes the Eighth King of Rome surrounded by his adoring fans. It was a fantastic challenge and really utilised my Art History Masters degree and knowledge of Italian Renaissance and Baroque art. The image went instantly viral around the internet, featured in numerous magazines along with adorning the Soccer AM studio.
I have been commissioned by Eurosport to create various sporting illustrations for their long read articles. From Snooker through to Cycling it has been great fun to create diverse illustrations which still hopefully reflect my style and use of paint and colour.
Client: BT Sport
BT Sport commissioned me along with eleven other sports artists to take part in their 2016 Champions League illustration competition in which I was hugely proud to reach the final stages.
Client: Season Annual
Commissioned to create two illustrations for a particular week in Season Annual 2016-17. The first to show the destroying of Watford by Liverpool and the second of Eden Hazard who was player of the week.
Client: Sport Magazine
I was asked to illustrate a fear of Victoria Pendleton for a 'Loves and Hates' interview in Sport Magazine UK. An unusual brief but thoroughly enjoyable to digitally paint her fear of being in the sea alone along with her love of almond butter!
I was commissioned by the fantastic football publication, Mundial, to create a very unusual digital painting for the magazine's front cover. To represent one of the main articles in the magazine I was challenged with combining portraits of a young and old Francesco Totti along with Caravaggio's 'David with the Head of Goliath' baroque masterpiece. This was not only an amazing brief, but one that I was extremely interested in on a personal level as I specialised in Baroque art and the works of Caravaggio during my Art History Masters and time spent studying at the British Institute of Florence. This combined with my love of football meant it was the perfect commission to receive and one I thoroughly enjoyed creating.
'Young Totti with the Head of Old Totti' was painted using Artrage desktop programme on the Surface Pro 3 tablet.
To promote the launch of Artrage 5 I was commissioned to showcase the oil paint and loose textural qualities of the app.
I was honoured to be asked to create a series of six digital portraits for Beating Bowel Cancer's Decembeard 'Me My Beard and Why' campaign. Each portrait depicts a man who has been directly affected by bowel cancer and were exhibited at the Decembeard North launch party. It was a truly humbling experience to not only paint the series, but to also have the opportunity to talk at the event about my art and why I wanted to be involved in the project.
